Oral use.
SUGERD L is indicated for:
- the treatment of duodenal ulcer not related to NSAID
- gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD)
- maintenance therapy of duodenal ulcer
- gastric ulcer, chronic gastritis
- stress gastritis prophylaxis
- the palliative treatment of aphthous ulcer, or for the palliative treatment of stomatitis due to chemotherapy
- the prophylaxis of gastrointestinal haemorrhage from stress ulceration in seriously ill patients to treat inflammation of the rectum; most commonly this is for radiation proctitis bowel inflammation following radiotherapy.
This treatment can help treat bleeding due to the inflammation, and can be continued for up to 24 weeks; you can stop when the bleeding stops.
